A POPULAR, potato-based Sidmouth Folk week event has been cancelled after its venue was overbooked.
Preparations for the Hot Potatoes event, which raised hundreds of pounds last year and saw visitors enjoy a snack while engaging in topical discussion, were well under way, however organisers were forced to pull the plug upon realising the Methodist Church had been booked for other festivities.
