Police, paramedics and two fire engines from Sidmouth Fire Station attended the incident on Friday, July 28. Motorists were asked to find an alternative route while emergency services were on scene.

PCSO Jack Stannard tweeted the A3052 between Newton Poppleford and Sidmouth was closed due to a serious collision and advised drivers to find an alternative route.
Firefighters arrived on scene shortly after 10.45pm last night.
A Devon and Somerset Fire Service spokesman said crews were unsure if anyone was trapped inside the vehicles.
He added: “Crews arrived on scene and confirmed all persons free and clear of the vehicles, and made the scene safe. Police and Ambulance also attended.”
