A Hollywood theme has been chosen for this year’s 1st Sidvale Scout Group’s summer fete on Saturday
COME to Hollywood – down at Sidmouth’s Ham on Saturday - where Sidmouth’s cubs and scouts will offer a celebrity fete day.
“The fete on the Ham is now an annual event in the Sidmouth calendar and a great showcase for the Scout Group and for the youth in Sidmouth,” said group scout leader Gareth Hughes.
Most of the stalls and games take on a Hollywood theme and include a Jurassic Park coconut shy, Robin Hood’s archery, Indiana Jones’ challenge, Casino Royale Play Your Cards Right and much more.
Throughout the day cubs and scouts will put on short cameos, ranging from the silent movie era to the recent Prince of Persia movie.
Members of Sidmouth Amateur Dramatic Society will perform a Wizard of Oz sketch.
Organiser Barry Morton is looking forward to Saturday and hopes families and Sidmouth residents will support the efforts of the young members of 1st Sidvale Scout Group and have a fun day.
