He also wants to help showcase up-and-coming comedy talent

A stand-up comedian in Sidmouth is on a mission to bring live comedy to more people, and encourage up-and-coming talent.

Daniel FitzHenry, known as Fitz, is hosting a night of stand-up comedy at the Manor Pavilion Theatre, on Saturday, November 3, with performers including Fin Taylor, Tom Glover, and winners of Britain’s Got Talent and the Student Comedian of the Year 2017.

He is also keen to host events where would-be comics can perform for an audience and others can try out new material. Fitz grew up in Sidmouth but moved away to Bath, where he became a comedian and began running his own events. He returned to Sidmouth about a year ago and intends to continue organising comedy nights in his home town.

“One of the foundations of what I do is bringing comedy to everyone,” he said. “There’s a huge amount of fantastic talent in the South West.”
