TEAMS are being sought for the gruelling10k Tactical Commando Challenge event to be held in April.

This brand new commando challenge charity event in the form of a demanding tactical course will take place on April 26.

Teams of six, who are willing to get dirty, are wanted for the event in aid of the Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

The 10k military style course has a four km timed run from the start line at Bicton Arena, Yettington and is followed by approximately two kms of team activities including memory, observation and a bunker attack.

Teams will then have to run four kms back to the safety of the finish line.

Alan Hardy, organiser, said: "Indications from the challenge website are good so far - bearing in mind this is the first year we have run this event and there is a recession on - although we do have vast experience from 19 years of running the more usual October event.

"I would urge anyone interested in entering to download their entry form from the website as soon as possible as already there has been a lot of interest."
