TOWN councillors are "very happy" with plans by Sidmouth Tyre & Exhausts to demolish a building at Alexandria Industrial Estate, Sidmouth, and build a new workshop.
"It is great to think a business is expanding. I am very happy with this," said Councillor John Hollick, acting chairman of the council's planning committee, on Wednesday.
Councillor Chris Wale agreed. He said: "It is a success in its own right and the owners are very keen to continue with their plans.
"They want to make significant changes to the industrial units they occupy. I am very pleased to support it.
