RESIDENTS of Sidmouth’s Abbeyfield Court helped long-standing resident Connie Perrins celebrate her 100th birthday on Monday.
Staff and well-wishers at the sheltered accommodation complex in Station Road gathered for a party on the day, joined by family and friends.
The festivities began the day before with a party at her daughter’s house the day before, at which she was presented with a This is Your Life-style commemorative book that Abbeyfield party guests enjoyed too. “The book was absolutely beautiful,” said Abbeyfield housekeeper Lynne Woods.
The party included afternoon tea, chocolate fountain and two birthday cakes. The birthday girl received lots of flowers and cards.
“She’s a very social lady, she likes her afternoons out in the gardens and leads a full life,” said Lynne.
Connie’s hobbies include making birthday and Christmas cards and playing card games.
“Connie is much loved by all of us, she had a lovely weekend and it was a pleasure to share her special day,” said Lynne.
