THE culinary skills of a Tipton care home chef has garnered him a place in the finals of a national competition.
Terry Knight, head chef at the Angela Court Care Home, is preparing to head to London and wow judges in the finals of the National Care Chef of the Year Competition.
Terry was recently promoted to group chef manager of PSP Healthcare. He said: "I am honoured to be taking part in such a prestigious award and am excitedly
busy preparing my dish for the final stage of the contest.
"In my new role I am able to enthuse others about the importance of food, its nutritional balance and most importantly how we present this is to our residents."
Terry has proved a hit with both residents and visitors to the home with regulars forming a very popular luncheon club. Angela Court recently held a Food of Nations lunch, serving dishes from all around the world.
New nurse manager Emma Seal said: "We are all so proud of Terry, he really
deserves this. His food is always restaurant quality and he has proved to be a real
inspiration for all the chefs in the group. We wish him all the best in the competition.
