Cookery guru and novelist Prue Leith will spend the day at Sidmouth's Kennaway House on Thursday (May 20) talking about her life in the world of cooking up recipes and her work as a novelist.

A special seafood lunch (sold-out) has been laid on for the occasion by Kate Norbury, who met Prue Leith at a literary festival in Keswick and invited her to give a talk.

It will be prepared by Antonia's Kitchen chef Richard Leach, who worked as a patisserie chef at the five star Mount Nelson hotel in Cape Town, South Africa, when Ms Leith was advising on a special function there.

There are still spaces available for the afternoon talk by Ms Leith From Food to Fiction, which are available at the special price of £6 from Kennaway House (01395) 515551 or on the door at 2pm on Thursday.
