COUNCIL chiefs will utilise Facebook and Twitter when they gauge residents’ opinions over a blueprint for the future of East Devon.
Consultation on the Local Development Framework (LDF) will include more “hi-tech solutions” like social networking websites “to reach a wide range of age-groups and people from a variety of social backgrounds,” says East Devon District Council (EDDC).
Councillor Mike Green, an LDF Panel member, said: “We must make contact with some of the hard-to-reach groups, especially younger people and families who are the future.”
