Councillor swoops to save gull in Sidmouth

Rescue effort on a wing and a prayer

KIND-HEARTED Councillor Stuart Hughes swooped in to save a baby seagull he spotted waddling precariously close to traffic, writes Rufus Baker-Morris.

Sidmouth Town Council chairman Mr Hughes placed his new feathered friend away from danger on a flat roof near Sidmouth seafront.
