Ottery St Mary Church is inviting visitors to attend an afternoon tour of the church and enjoy a cream tea or two on September 11 (coinciding with the Food and Families Festival).

Sue Jeacock from the church said: “Unfortunately, there will not be an opportunity to go up the south tower this year, but there will be helpers on hand in the church to show visitors around and answer questions, plus delicious home-made cream teas of course”.

On the day, you can visit the Grade 1 listed building, which is open all day.
From 1.30pm-4.30pm cream teas will be served and there will be stewards on duty to guide you and answer any questions about the church.

You can view the working Medieval astronomical clock, explore the priest’s hideaway chamber, hunt for owls, otters, green men and event an elephant!
