A SIDMOUTH boutique is the latest victim of the economic downturn in the town.

Secret Wardrobe on Cross Lane, just off Old Fore Street, has closed its doors for the last time. The independent family run shop stocked 'affordable' individual women's clothes but following poor trading conditions the difficult decision was made to cease operation. Samantha Nichol, owner, said: "The Secret Wardrobe has closed as a result of the current economic climate which has affected footfall in Sidmouth."

The Secret Wardrobe has followed in the footsteps of recession-hit Sidmouth businesses Woolworths and Temple Street News.
