Sidmouth support sought by cyclist on 700 mile trip through Spain for cancer charity
CYCLING James Taylor, who works at the family-owned Sidmouth Tyres & Exhausts Ltd., joins a Plymouth ferry on Sunday to Spain so he can cycle the old pilgrimage route of Santiago de Compostella.
It is a fitting choice as the route is also know as St James’ Way.
James, 29, from Lyme Regis, will do the 700-mile trip with two friends, brothers Tika and Surya Osborne from Uplyme, to raise money for Children with Cancer UK charity and is looking for generous Sidmouth folk to help with his fundraising.
He said: “I only started a few weeks ago and am really surprised how generous people have been.”
Donations from Sidmouth supporters can be dropped in at Alexandria Industrial Estate where he works.
James, who plans to return on August 3, said anyone wanting to follow his progress online can do so at www.sixitchyfeet.org.
