Staff at a Sidmouth care home danced their socks off to support British troops ahead of Armed Forces Day last Friday.
Hollie Salter-Hendry and six of her Rose Lawn colleagues lost a speaker to the wet weather but battled on for the full 12 hours of their marathon sponsored boogie.
The movers and shakers raised more than £300 for Help for Heroes from pledges, passers-by and well-wishers in passing cars.
“We all got drenched,” said Hollie. “The speaker broke but we just carried on with the stereo and whatever CDs we could get – we had so many people stopping to support us.”
