A DANCING duo have boosted Stowford Community Centre with an unexpected donation.

Jeannie and Henry Clark, who rent the hub’s hall once a month for ballroom and latin classes, recently handed over £100 to help with new equipment.

“It was completely unexpected and a lovely gesture,” said Jan Jones, a director at the centre.

“They decided it was what they wanted to do and so came to us with the donation- and we’re very grateful.” The venue now hopes to replace its existing heavy tables with lightweight ones which can be moved around more easily to make the space more flexible.

Further donations to boost the fund are expected in the autumn.
