Sonrise service at dawn welcomes Easter Sunday in Beer
IT was an early morning start for parishioners of St Michael’s and Beer Congregational Church, who gathered together in Beer, overlooking the beach to welcome in Easter Sunday with a Sonrise Service.
Led by the Reverend Brian McMahon, the service started at 7am. Afterwards all were invited back to the Congregational Church for breakfast.
Christians have welcomed in the dawn on Easter Sunday morning to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus for centuries.
The Beer service was just one of a number held in Devon.
