Deer hit by car in Salcombe Regis

POLICE were called to a crash near Salcombe Regis last week after a car collided with a deer.

POLICE were called to a crash near Salcombe Regis last week after a car collided with a deer.

The incident happened on Trow Hill at around 9.30pm last Friday.

The deer which had darted out of a hedge into the road was badly injured and the RSPCA was called out.

The animal's condition is not known. The driver of the Nissan Micra was not hurt.
