An exhibition aimed at shifting perspectives on living with dementia and the need for personalised support is going on tour.
The Filo Project has rapidly grown since it formed in 2014 and now leaders want to showcase the work they have done and highlight their model of care – providing small group day care for people with early to moderate dementia across Devon.
They collaborated with award-winning photo-journalist Hannah Maule-ffinch to take a series of images of clients attending the sessions, which will be shown at Sidmouth Library from October 16 to 30.
Filo Project director Liz Dennis said: “These photographs will form a travelling exhibition creating positive images of people in later life as well as celebrating the work that The Filo Project does.”
The project has been supported by Councillor Stuart Hughes, Savills, Foot Anstey LLP, Thomas Wescott and Hawksmoor Investment.
