Use pharmacies for help and advice urges Devon pharmacist during Ask Your Pharmacist Week
A Devon pharmacist is backing a national campaign to encourage people to use the free NHS services at local pharmacies as part of the Ask Your Pharmacist Week campaign, which ends on Sunday, November 13.
Mark Stone, a pharmacist at the Devon local pharmaceutical committee, said people should consider using their local pharmacy if they feel under the weather, especially in the winter months, writes Joy Ng.
As well as providing medicines for colds and coughs, without the need to go to the doctor, there are many services local pharmacies can offer, such as appointments to discuss whether people are making the most of their medication and whether they may need a change.
They can also give advice on healthy eating, sexual health and giving up smoking.
