A dog being left in a hot car in a Sidmouth car park has sparked warnings from police.
Officers were called by a concerned member of the public after they spotted an animal in a parked van off Ham Lane, near the swimming pool, at about 2pm. The owner returned shortly after and was spoken to by officers.
A police spokesman said: “Police would like to remind people how dangerous it is to leave dogs in a hot car and remind them to never leave an animal in a vehicle during the summer months.”
