Beauty, a three-year-old Daschund, went missing last Saturday and her anxious owners have searched the area all week.
They heard barking this morning and told coastguard they thought Beauty was over the cliff at Dunscombe.
The Beer Coastguard team was called out and a rescue officer was lowered over the cliff and successfully recovered Beauty to her "grateful owner".
