A DONKEY made an ass out of himself when he got stuck in a bog this week.
Ivory, who will soon be housed in Sidmouth's Donkey Sanctuary, was rescued from the marsh by firefighters in Whitby on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old donkey has been giving traditional rides to youngsters for several years and his saddle will soon be hung up for the last time as he nears retirement. When he moves to Sidmouth he is sure to have a few tails to tell his stable-mates.
