The Donkey Sanctuary has received an award from HRH Princess Anne in recognition of their employee training.
The charity, which houses over 200 donkeys, received the Princess Royal Training Award. This is presented to recognise employers who have created outstanding training and skills development programmes.
Applicants were measured against marks of excellence such as the training being integral to the company, that is was delivered effectivley and it had an effect on the success of the organisation.
A ceremony held in St James’s Palace, London was attended by Slade House Farm manager Maxine Carter, equine assisted activities development manager Nicky French and learning and development manager Steven James.
Steven was the one who received the award from HRH The Princess Royal and he said: “Receiving the award is an endorsement of our commitment to support staff development at all levels.”
