Technology has captured Sidmouth Lifeboat on camera, from a new angle.
Drone Photography’s David Schnitker is a regular visitor from Münster in Germany and he got the chance to practise his skills filming the crew as they trained earlier this month. He said: “My family’s been coming here for 35 years - since I was five I wanted to get as close to the lifeboat as I can. Now I’ve got the drone it makes it possible!”
Guy Russell, the lifeboat’s senior coxswain, said: “He did an amazing job and we were very privileged to have someone of that talent filming us. We don’t get much footage or photos of what we do as we dedicate our time to training so we are ready for anything we get called to – it’s nice for us to get footage.”
