Tickets are on sale for Sidmouth Lions Club’s annual duck derby, which returns to The Byes from 2pm on Sunday, July 17.
Last year’s event raised £5,700 for charity and members are hoping for bumper support once again.
The day will be split between the main yellow duck race, with tickets available to the public for £1 – prizes totalling £1,000 will go to the ‘owners’ of the first 19 ducks across the line – and the £5 corporate duck race. Prizes for first, second and third place finishers will go to charity. The day will also boast a bouncy castle, a big slide and games for children.
Proceeds will go to the town’s Admiral Nurse Appeal, the Motor Neurone Disease Association and the Lions Club’s charity activities.
Tickets are available from the Lions’ stall outside Co-op from Tuesday to Friday and outside Woolbrook’s Lidl tomorrow (Saturday) and next Saturday.
