AT last October's Environment Agency regional flood defence committee, Adrian Rushworth, area flood risk manager, advised that some works were required following increased levels of cliff falls at the mouth of the River Sid.

Minutes state that works proposed by EDDC had been agreed in principle by the EA. These would cost in the region of 30,000 and be carried out shortly.

It was then stated EDDC and agency "will work together on a study to look at the flood risk element."

EA agreed to contribute 5,000 to 7,000 towards the study.
