Marie Curie Ladies Driving Challenge launch
WOMEN from across East Devon are gearing up to take to the wheel for the Ladies Driving Challenge in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
This year’s event was launched by firefighters from Middlemoor, Exeter, with the charity’s events manager Jon Duckham and community fundraiser Deborah Birtwisle.
The popular challenge attracts women from across Devon keen to drive large machinery such as fire engines, JCBs and double-decker buses.
The event is on November 13 at Westpoint, Exeter; 10am-1pm and 2-5pm.
Entry is 10, plus the charity asks for 100 in sponsorship. Contact the events team on 08700 340 040 or go to www.mariecurie.org.uk/en-gb/events/adrenaline-experiences/ladies-driving-challenge-devon-2011.
