EAST Devon MP Hugo Swire has welcomed plans by Prime Minister David Cameron to ‘put patients before paperwork’ in the region.
He said the new drive will make a huge difference, allow patients from towns like Sidmouth to lead hospital inspections, and will free up nurses in hospitals from bureaucracy so they can make hourly ward rounds.
Mr Swire added the announcement was “great news”.
