Reception pupils from Sidbury Primary School were treated to a fun day at Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary as part of a hands-on confidence boosting exercise.
The scheme allows the children to learn how to care for, groom and ride the donkeys in a safe and fun environment.
Reception teacher Clare Bedford said: “The children get to visit the donkeys once a fortnight this term and they absolutely love it. It’s a very useful scheme as it helps them grow confident around animals and it boosts their social skills.”
