Our achievers buck national trend
Sidmouth College has bucked the national trend of a drop in top A-level grades with teachers reporting a “vast improvement” in results compared to last year, and top AS grades up 11 per cent.
In A levels the school achieved a pass rate of 98 per cent with 42 per cent of grades at A and B level.
The vast majority of students have achieved the grades they need to go to university or into training or employment.
AS results were equally “impressive” with pupils making “excellent progress towards target grades next year”, added Principal, Jeremy Roberts.
He said overall it was an excellent performance and a “stride forward” for the comprehensive sixth form.
He paid tribute to the commitment and determination of pupils, the professionalism of staff and the support of parents.
