BRANSCOMBE Primary School pupils can crack on with their computer work thanks to memory sticks donated by the owners of Branscombe Airfield.

David and Naomi Hayman, whose children Tabitha, four, and Felicity, two, attend the school and pre-school, have provided 45 sticks, bought with proceeds from the classic car show and air day held at the airfield in July.

David said: “We’re hoping to do more locally, so when headteacher Katie Gray approached me asking if I knew anyone who did donations, we were happy to help.”

Mrs Gray said the computers could now be used with greater flexibility.

“The pupils can store their work on to the sticks and then use any of the computers during their next ICT lesson to continue that work,” she said. “In a small school, donations of luxury items such as these mean that school funds can be diverted to fulfil the other school development needs.”
