THE King’s School opened its doors to prospective pupils, parents and the public at an open day last week.

Staff and students at the event, last Thursday and Friday, welcomed year six children mulling over which secondary school to attend next year, and a few old faces.

“It was an extremely busy evening with many of the current King’s students either acting as guides or taking part in subject demonstrations from acrobatics to physics, and encouraging our visitors to take part in a whole range of activities,” said headteacher Faith Jarrett.

She added: “It was nice to welcome back a good number of ex-students, now with their own children, and hopefully the event gave everyone a real flavour of life at The King’s in 2010.”
