BEER Primary School received a 1,000 donation from Seaton and District Lions Club towards a playground revamp.
The PTA and the school itself gave the same amount each toward the project, which saw the playground decked out with stylish new markings, including a road running around it. Headteacher Martin O’Mahony said: “The Lions support local schools and each year make a donation to a major project. This year they chose us.”
The idea was to enhance the outside learning environment, promoting outside activity and physical play. Mr O’Mahony said: “It’s made a huge difference, and makes the playground a fantastic place to be.”
