Reception children at Newton Poppleford Primary School threw a tea party in honour of some important guests - their mums.
The pupils made cakes and cards for the event last Friday.
The mums had received a special invitation to the afternoon tea and enjoyed refreshments and a special performance from the pupils.
During the assembly, the children sang a song for the parents called Take A Day Off.
Reception class teacher Mandy Thomas said: βIt was an enjoyable afternoon - all the children had made cakes to share with their mums. It was a special time for the mums to spend time with their reception children.β
