Four intrepid Explorer Scouts braved the elements on a three-day expedition to for their Duke of Edinburgh Silver award.
Joe Carr, 17, and Alex Lavallin and Alex McNamee, both 16, from Ottery St Mary Explorers were joined by Emily-Keziah Green, 16, from Beer Explorers on the 60km trek.
The explorers camped for two nights as they walked from Lyme Regis to Bridport last month.
Along their way through Dorset they looked at old buildings in various villages and studied how they had been adapted for modern usage, but also had to deal with dreadful weather.
Part of the expedition section of the Duke of Edinburgh (D of E) award is planning, training for and completing an unaccompanied, self-reliant expedition with an agreed aim.
John Green, Explorer Leader, said: “This is a great achievement for all those involved.
The D of E award requires a huge amount of self motivation and commitment which the Explorers have demonstrated.”
