SPORTY Sidmouth College students have had their achievements recognised at the school’s first ever PE presentation evening.

Alongside the presentations, there was live music and a table quiz during the event, at Kennaway House.

Special recognition went to Paul Rozier, who has been dedicated to athletics at the college for a number of years and to Trevor Cope, for 25 years’ service to the college sports day. College colours were given to pupils who had shown outstanding performances or commitment to college teams over the last three years. Certificates were awarded to pupils who had represented East Devon, Exeter and East Devon, Devon and Country in various sports. The Sidmouth College Marie Collins Trophy for commitment and excellence for girls in more than one sport went to Tabitha Vaughan and The Geoff Retter Trophy for all round sporting excellent for boys went to Alex Dunn.

PE teacher Lisa Malton said: “It was an outstanding evening with a perfect mixture of formal and social activities.

“The pupils thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the new format and are already talking about next year’s presentation evening.”
