The children from Branscombe Primary had a ‘pan-tastic’ lunch tossing pancakes in the village.
Pupils from the whole school and pre-school took part in the annual pancake races on Shrove Tuesday this week.
Headteacher Katie Gray said the event is a bit of fun for the students but is also part of their religious education, and they have been learning all about Lent during the week.
Around 45 children then went down to the Village Hall where the key stage two pupils had spent the morning preparing the batter, and after the races they and the parents who had come along to watch got to tuck in to the pancakes for lunch.
