FASHIONABLE pupils at St Nicholas Junior School, Sidmouth, have been finding out what people like to wear on the beach.
As part of their topic on water, the children in class 6O have created their own range of beach wear and went out and about on Sidmouth seafront asking people what they thought about it.
In five groups of six, the 10 and 11 year-olds, gathered opinions on designs for hats, shorts, T-shirts and accessories including sunglasses, and will give a presentation on them to the school before the half term break.
Class teacher Kirk Owen said the pupils had approached the task maturely.
“They thought about their questions and how we would approach people to ask them,” he said. “They were enthusiastic and they first people they saw they were keen to talk to. They did it in a respectful way.”
