Wildlife presenter, naturalist and bug expert Nick Baker was on hand to help celebrate National Science and Engineering Week at an Ottery school.
Around 200 staff, students and members of the local community turned up to The King’s School last Wednesday to hear The Really Wild Show presenter talk about how he locates the weird and interesting creatures featured in the programme.
Mr Baker, who also appears on shows such as Weird Creatures and CBBC’s Spring Watch, is an alumni of Exeter University.
Event organiser Rebecca Higginson, key stage four science coordinator at The King’s, said: “Nick is a natural storyteller and his tales of trying to locate these weird creatures kept us enthralled and entertained.
“We were extremely lucky to have a naturalist of his calibre and with such obvious passion for his subject join us.”
