Babette, from Sherbourne, conducted a workshop with the 15 senior pupils, producing a storyboard for a 16-page book on a school for vampires, then gave a talk and read from her book, to the whole school and visiting parents in the afternoon.
Headmaster Nigel Home said: “Two of our children, Samuel Taylor, 10, and Anna Pearce, 11, were the voices of children in a video of one of Babette’s most successful books, Mummy Laid an Egg, and she presented a copy to the children.”
