DEVON County show in May will be graced by the green-fingered exploits of students from Sidmouth College.
Pupils’ growing efforts will be displayed in a plant marquee at the event.
The college is taking part in an initiative - organised through Fermoy’s Garden Centre in Newton Abbot - to encourage gardening in schools. The theme is ‘A Garden In A Wheel Barrow’ and students have been challenged to design, grow and plant a garden in a limited space.
The college has made a plea for is for any old or disused wheel barrows to be donated in order to give as many students as possible a chance to develop their own exhibits.
The school can arrange for the pick-up of wheelbarrows.
