Ark Pottery couple guide STEM students to design clay stoves
CLAY stoves that will go out to an African village, were designed by 12 students from Sidmouth College last week.
The college’s’ STEM club (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), kicked off a special, ongoing project on Thursday, working with Vaughan and Angela Glanville, from the Ark Pottery, Wiggaton, near Ottery St Mary on how to design the stoves.
The students involved are mainly from the college’s Gifted and Talented programme.
It is planned that some of the students will go out to Africa next year with the completed stoves.
