Student tuition fees hot topic for East Devon MP during A-level Sidmouth College session at Commons
HISTORY and sociology A-level students from Sidmouth College quizzed their local MP over tuition fees and other topics, during a trip to the Houses of Parliament.
The group met up with East Devon MP Hugo Swire during an educational workshop on democracy and ‘voice of the people’ following a visit to the seat of Parliament in London last week.
Their tour included the House of Lords and they witnessed the Speaker’s procession into the House of Commons for the start of Prime Minister’s question time.
They then rounded off the trip with a visit to Covent Garden before returning to Sidmouth.
