Sidmouth Town Council chairman presents two grant cheques to aid youngsters in the Sid Valley
NEW chairman of Sidmouth Town Council, Councillor Stuart Hughes, has presented two grant cheques totalling �500, to aid youngsters in the Sid Valley.
On Wednesday he visited Sidford Playgroup to hand over a cheque for �250 to playgroup administrator Helen Keast.
Afterwards he went to Apple Tree Pre-School to hand over a �250 grant cheque, which, says manager Kerin Hamill: “Will be used to replace some of our equipment and toys.”
In January, the council made grants totalling �9,312, with the largest proportion, �2,000, going to Sidmouth Town Band.
