SIDMOUTH St John Ambulance members have come to the rescue of Sidbury Primary School.
After reading in the Herald how the school had lost its first aid box, divisional superintendent Brian Johansen contacted the school’s first-aider Viv Bornet and offered to replace the lost supplies with two brand new kits.
The schoolchildren had been enjoying their annual Governors’ Fun Day outing, visiting Sidmouth beach, the museum and the Sidmouth Lifeboat when the vital box went missing.
“Now, thanks to the generosity of St John Ambulance, the school is even better equipped than before,” said a delighted Mrs Bornet.
Mr Johansen was happy to help the school. “That’s what St John’s is all about, helping the community,” he said.
