Nominees have until Thursday, March 2, to register their intention to run for position following resignation of town councillor Matt Booth
A date has provisionally been set for Sidmouth to go to the polls in March to fill the town’s West ward vacancy.
East Devon District Council’s (EDDC) returning officer has confirmed receipt of a petition – signed by the necessary 10 people to trigger an election. Nominees have until Thursday, March 2, to register their intention to run.
The election is to fill the vacancy, following the resignation of Councillor Matt Booth and – if contested - polling date is set for Wednesday, March 29.
