Emergency services were called in to action this morning (Friday 27) after they received a report of an overturned car outside of Newton Poppleford.

Police, paramedics and two fire crews from Sidmouth attended the incident at 9.45am on Four Elms Hill.

A police spokesman said it appeared that the Daihatsu Sirion had overturned after hitting a bank at the side of the A3052.

He added that paramedics had treated the two elderly occupants for minor injuries at the scene.
