VANDALISM: A vehicle parked in Peaslands Road, Sidmouth, was the subject of criminal damage between 6pm last Saturday, October 15, and 8.30am on Sunday, October 16. Police have appealed for information and can be contacted by dialling 101, crime reference: KS/11/589.

ENERGY TALK: A former senior manager in the energy industry will speak on why bills are rising at a free event in Sidmouth next Saturday, October 29. Keith Henry will appear at the Norman Lockyer Observatory and talk on how demand for energy is growing, where exactly future supplies could come from and, importantly, if there will be enough to go round. Organisers from the Sid Valley Energy Action Group (SVEAG ) and the observatory have invited residents to come along to ask questions after the talk.
