THE mum of an Exmouth schoolboy who is on the verge of winning a nationwide talent competition has urged people to vote for him.
Schoolboy singer Tom Andrews, 15, of St Johns Road, is currently ranked fifth in a national on-line talent competition, 1Click2Fame, with the finals in the spring.
During the Auditions Stage, performers upload their videos into one of five categories.
The Top 20 performers from each of the categories with the highest ratings score across their videos get invited to the finals, making a total of 100 finalists.
The game is to get as many people to rate your videos as high as possible before 7pm on March 20.
Mum Lynne Andrews said: "He is currently in 5th and 6th place and at the last count had 3800 views.
"The auditions end on March 20 and finals end April 1 so we are hoping he will maintain his position.
"We have had one local family join his facebook which now has 108 members.
"We still desperately need votes every day as there are new people entering all the time with huge fan bases."
The prize is 100,000 of sponsorship to wards Tom's dream of a singing career.
